2022 MBC Men’s Health Gala An Enormous Success!

On Friday 18^th November the Maitland Business Chamber hosted their annual Men’s Health Gala Fundraiser.

This Year the  special guest were former radio duo Garth & Steve who had not performed together in over 20 years.

Garth and Steve spoke about their own journeys through mental health. By sharing their stories and the awareness of how common struggles with mental health are, the Maitland Business Chamber hope that more men in our community will be confident to speak about their own mental health struggles.

The business community has been continuously affected by pandemic, natural disasters and staffing shortages which has certainly affected the mental health of people. The Maitland Business Chamber see the annual Men’s Health Gala as an opportunity to start the conversation.

The Men’s Health Gala raises funds for the Beyond Blue Organisation as well as Maitland & Morpeth Men’s shed to raise awareness of men’s mental health in our community.
