SUMMIT 2026 – “Our best yet!”

More than 260 people and 39 exhibitors came together at Maitland Town Hall for the 2026 Maitland Business Summit, creating a morning filled with conversation, new introductions and plenty of reasons to feel positive about the future of business in our region.
The atmosphere throughout the Town Hall said it all. Everywhere you looked, people were reconnecting, meeting someone new, sharing ideas or introducing others around the room. There was a willingness to support one another, share experiences and explore opportunities together.
For the Maitland Business Chamber, that’s what the Summit is all about.
A huge thank you to Mayor Philip Penfold for officially declaring the event open, and to every exhibitor who invested their time, energy and enthusiasm into the day and it was fantastic to see businesses engaging with attendees and showcasing what they do.
We also extend our sincere thanks to our major sponsors, Maitland City Council, Evans & Wislang, Turnbull Hill Lawyers and Meliora Projects. Their support helps make events like this possible and ensures our business community has opportunities to come together, learn and connect.
One of the key highlights of the morning was hearing from keynote speaker Holly Martin, The Marketing GP who challenged attendees to think about what makes a business memorable. Her presentation focused on the importance of knowing what you want to be known for, understanding what sets you apart, and consistently delivering on that promise. It was a timely reminder that while there are countless ways to gain attention, trust and reputation are built through authenticity, consistency and the experience you create for your customers. Holly also took the opportunity to launch an upcoming marketing initiative for small and micro businesses titled “Good to GO Marketing”. Connect with Holly and her team for more details on how this could support your small business.
We were also excited to launch The Maitland Conversation, a new podcast series featuring local business owners, leaders and community champions. We’re currently working our way through the fantastic conversations captured live at Summit and can’t wait to share them with you. We’ll also be scheduling upcoming conversations to move Maitland, so stay TUNED!
And of course, for the MBC, the conversation certainly doesn’t stop here.
On 25 November, we’ll be hosting Employment Pathways, bringing together businesses, educators and industry leaders to discuss workforce challenges and opportunities across our region.
One thing is always clear after events like this: people genuinely care about Maitland and want to see it thrive.
Thank you to everyone who attended, exhibited, sponsored, spoke, volunteered and supported the 2026 Maitland Business Summit. Your contribution helped create a morning full of meaningful conversations, new connections and opportunities for the future. We look forward to continuing those conversations and seeing where they lead.
